Why are these events relevant to IP enforcement? Because trade fairs are critical moments for protecting IP rights. Enforcement actions – such as on-site evidence collection and administrative complaints to the Market Supervision Administration (MSA) – can be taken during the fairs to address and remove infringing products from exhibition booths.

Canton Fair (Spring 2025)
The China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair, is one of the largest and oldest trade fairs in China, launched in 1957. Held biannually in Guangzhou every spring and autumn, the fair is regarded as a barometer of China’s foreign trade.
This spring’s edition is divided into three phases:
Phase 1: April 15–19, 2025

Industrial Manufacturing: Automation, machinery, power machinery and electric power, mechanical basic parts, construction and agricultural machinery, new materials and chemical products

Auto Shanghai 2025
The 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, commonly known as Auto Shanghai 2025, will be held from April 23 to May 2, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai.
Since its inception in 1985, Auto Shanghai has become a leading platform for unveiling the latest innovations in the automotive industry— especially in electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous driving, and smart mobility.
This year’s show will feature:
